General
Description
Dalan will provide the player with a lot of handy options when talking to him at any given point in the story.
Some of these options can be really useful when transitioning to or from a mod that overhauls several aspects of the game without being forced to start a new game.
Features
Reset Hunts
Resets the progress of a completed hunt to a time where it was started (e.g. from a hunt board). After the reset, you will have the option to teleport to the petitioner where you can accept the quest and start hunting the mark again.
Reset Jobs (All, Only Main/Guest, One)
Clears both jobs and clears and refunds all non-default license nodes of a party member. Unequips all their gear and sets their gambits to the default in the process. If the party member is NOT a main character, they will also equip their default gear.
Equip Default Gear (All, Only Main/Guest/Esper, One)
Equips a party member with their default equipment.
This will NOT add their default equipment to the inventory. Instead it will only be temporarily equipped, meaning that the party member is able to use it until it is replaced. This is intentional as otherwise it can cause issues like not being able to sell the equipment of a party member that is currently not in your party.
Set Default Gambits (All, Only Main/Guest/Esper, One)
Sets a party member's gambit to the default.
Re-roll Stats (All)
Re-rolls the default stats of all playable characters. Can be pretty useful with balancing out the random HP/MP growth when levelling up a party member.
To completely remove the randomness factor of a character's HP/MP growth when levelling up, you can use the Perfect HP/MP Bonus Growth feature of The Insurgent's Graveyard.
Notes
Reset Hunts
Any progress like a dialogue that refers to the completion of the hunt, or a cutscene that took place at the start of it, will also be reverted.
For the following hunts, the hunt progress will be completely reset to a time where the quest was not started yet: Gilgamesh & Enkidu, Belito, Shadowseer, Yiazmat. This is necessary to ensure all cutscenes are replayed when the hunt is started.
Reseting the hunt Little Love on the Big Plains (Cluckatrice & Chickatrices) will also result in the sidequest Great Cockatrice Escape being reset since they share the same quest stage.
The very first hunt Red & Rotten in the Desert (Rogue Tomato) cannot be redone because of story related reasons.
Reset Jobs, Equip Default Gear, Equip Default Gambits, Re-roll Stats
Applying any of the above features to a specific main character (e.g. Vaan) requires them to be present in the current party.
All Playable Characters refers to all main characters, guests and espers. It doesn't matter whether they are in the party or not. The only exception to this is that resetting jobs will not include espers.
All Guests includes Reks. This is intentional as reseting the job of all main characters is supposed to only apply to those that can even have a job which Reks cannot in the vanilla game.
